Colonia de Sacré Manteau

The day after... We went to Colonia, no time to lose ! Many things to see, few time available, run 'n' roll !
So, Colonia, what is it ? It's the short name we use to describe Colonia de Sacramento, a town in the south of Uruguay. It's the town the most visited by people who want to renew their touristic visa *cough*

So we left, veeeery early in the morning. The good advantage of it is that the future belongs to people who wake up early. More or less... No, the real advantage of it is that for the first time in 6 month, I've been able to watch sun rise. Enjoyable, to be honest.

Here we started hitting the road of Uruguay !

Colonia's full of very nice stone-made streets. The weather was perfect. There was no tourists. Yet. Except us.

Lighthouse !

"Unesco classified, dude!"

My brother made me realize how interesting paying attention to cars could be. In fact, there are a lot of old cars in Argentina. A lot. And in Uruguay too. And they're pretty cool !

'course.

Then, we rented a small car, a golf-like cart. Very fun to drive. I almost kicked a parked scooter with it, but we had great time :)
Yeah we went to the beach. And yeah, we bathed.

One of the most emotioning thing I saw during my trip. A very old coliseum 2km far from the center of  Colonia. We didn't know if it was half built or half destructed, but what is sure is that it was fully descuidado, abandoned, and protected by a grid. ...

... but we are French, and since there was a breach and that police officers were there watching to be sure nobody got hurt passing through the grid, we safely crossed it and could enjoy the place even more.

Ruins C66 Avalon movie-like structure, isn't it ?

Awesome mix of old stone, growing vegetation, rusted iron, and blue sky. I really loved it.

Finally, the sun set. Yes, it looks like you can't do anything to avoid this. Rahan, if you read me, I'm sorry to spoil your adventure this way.

Hasta mañana... ;)
