Good morning everyone :)
So, I finally left Porto Alegre. Very good stay.
After 2h15 of travel (yeah, precisely... Seems that Brazil's not as full of thieves as BsAs is....), as planned. I dropped my stuff in the first Hostel I found, and thoroughly enjoyed the help of a very nice old woman who understood my total incapacity to understand Portuguese. Yeah, when friends are benevolent enough to translate / speak slower, I can understand. But not in real. Anyway...
Then, I had to withdraw cash, because I hadn't enough to pay the room before the night. Gniiii. So, go back to town, and find a bank... that accepts my card. Not all of these do, trust me.
And that's a pain in the arse.
Moreover when it's nigthtime.
Moreover when it's raining.
Moreover when you have no umbrella.
Moreover when you just got rid of a cold caught in the bus.
... I know. It sucks.
This too.
Well, I finally found a place to withdraw money, and so on. I bought a veeeery good umbrella. Let me explain : you buy an umbrella to protect you from the rain, right ? This one was so efficient that it litterally stopped the rain. When I went out of the shop, my wallet lighter, rain had stopped. Impressive stuff, really........
Breakfast made of instant japanoodles. On a red crossed napkinned table. Oh yeah.
Seems that Gramado is a bit the Bariloche of Brazil, which is the Swiss of Argentina. Fondues, Maisons du Chocolat, and so on. And I went there exactly during Eastern Time. And let me tell you : they don't joke with it.
Did you think the rabbits were cute ?
Me too. I thought.
Anyway, I visited this town which has really, really nice landscapes. Even grey times may have a very nice effect on pictures. If you have a good camera / eye / opportunity (rayez la mention inutile).
I visited a few chocolate musea, that were quite incredible.
They are crazy with chocolate ^^
Then, a wax museum (can I put it this way ?). Model made of wax, like in Tussaud's.
This one sucks. I mean, it REALLY sucks. I negociated the entrance of both musea (Wax and Harley Davidson) for 25 reals instead of 40. But I wish I didn't visit any. I pictured a few things, though...
James Dean.
Prince. (lol)
Jean la Travolte.
Hahaha I didn't try to drink anything, since the Carpenter's Cup had already been taken. Wise move.
Robbie Williams.
Happy Rotter. (pronouce Harray Pottah)
Hahaha french joke : je crois qu'ils se sont gourés sur le nom, c'était Thierry L'Ermite.
Anthony Hopkins ! This one was good.
Dusty Loveman.
Ronald Mac Reagan. This one was awesome. I was afraid of him moving his eyes if I went too close.
Respect...
Speeder man.
Le cousin de Diane Kruger.
Let's landscape a bit more...
And a medieval museum. You didn't imagine I would miss it, right ? ;)
Waaaah what a roleplay face !!
For your information, this "castle" has been built by the owner, during 11 years of hand labor. Incredible guy, I spoke with him for hours. Very talented guy.
That's it for today !!
Tomorrow (or later...) : CANELA ! Awesome neighbour town of Gramado.
Les lapiiiiiiiiiiiiiins ! Tu le quittes plus ton chapô !
ReplyDeleteSoooo Nice !
